BCCI is increasingly strengthening its economic ties with the Central European region, including Poland. In this context, on 23 November 2023, the Polish-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and the BCCI organised a joint business breakfast with the participation of Hungarian and Polish businessmen. The two chambers are interested in further joint presence in Central European markets of third countries, taking advantage of the traditional business relations between the two countries. In addition, they are planning to organise joint delegations to fairs in Poland and intend to strengthen trade relations with the business communities of the cities of Katowice, Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot and Krakow, with a special focus on the Hungarian information technology sector.
In December, Chamber staff visited the Łukasiewicz Institute, a research and development cluster in Warsaw, creating an opportunity to launch new European projects and even start similar initiatives in Hungary.
Alongside the Institute, the Polish Chamber of Commerce is also a partner regarding joint presence in third markets, either at an expo or at a business forum.
There are also plans to involve the Czech side in business events, thus creating a comprehensive Central European business community.
