During the forum, the parties presented the operation and characteristics of the chambers of the two countries, and discussed possible areas for closer cooperation in the future.
Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, gave a speech at the business forum, saying that EXIM has set aside $100 million for foreign trade between Hungary and Uzbekistan, for the operation of joint ventures and for joint tenders in over-the-counter markets. He added that the Embassy of Hungary in Tashkent is also helping businesses, which are working on to strengthen ties between the two countries.
He said that Hungary can help Uzbekistan in concluding agreements with the EU, and in addition to mutual trust, Hungary considers it important to strengthen cooperation because Central Asia could be one of the fastest developing regions of the world after the crisis.
