On September 17, the Thai-Hungarian Business Matching and Fintech Event brought together key figures from both nations, highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Thai-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce. This agreement represents a major step forward in strengthening economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Dr. Sándor Sipos, Hungary’s Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Participating Hungarian companies gained valuable insights into Thailand’s dynamic fintech ecosystem, including the recently concluded large-scale Digital Wallet program. They also attended presentations on trade and investment opportunities by Chonladet Khemarattana, President of the Thai Fintech Association, and Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn, Chairman of the Investment Analysts Association of Thailand. Mr. Paiboon highlighted Thailand’s steadily growing economy, robust exports, and its globally renowned tourism sector, emphasizing the vast investment potential in this area. He also pointed out Thailand's strong presence in green and bio-circular sectors, the advantages provided by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), the country's world-class healthcare system, and its overall competitiveness, particularly within the ASEAN region.
