Our chamber supported the participation of three Hungarian companies at a joint Smart Budapest stand.

Representatives of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) visited the Czech Republic in February to explore opportunities for Central European cooperation, particularly in the field of smart cities and smart solutions. During the professional trip, they successfully engaged in productive dialogues with several Czech chambers and institutions about future joint work, the first step of which was an invitation to our chamber to the Urbis – The Smart Cities Meet Up exhibition held in Brno.

The three-day fair was complemented by a series of conferences where representatives of Central European cities and municipalities, as well as the most innovative companies, met to share their ideas and specific solutions in the development of the smart city concept.

Our chamber supported the participation of three Hungarian companies at a joint Smart Budapest stand. The domestic companies are active in innovative areas such as the comprehensive development of smart parking systems, heat storage with environmentally friendly phase-change materials, and software automation of industrial buildings.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to continue the regional cooperation initiated earlier. The BCCI stand was visited by Hungary's ambassador to Prague, András Baranyi, and Zoltán Környi Economic Attaché in Prague, accompanied by the Czech Republic's ambassador to Hungary, Eva Dvořáková. The head of CzechTrade Budapest, Dóra Egressy, and the Czech counselor to Hungary, Petr Michalek, also visited, along with the Czech Minister of Transport, accompanied by the fair's management. At the chamber level, we held discussions with the Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce, with Vice President Tomas Kubala and Project Manager Lenka Votavova, where the possibility of future delegation trips was also discussed.

Dóra Egressy, Head of CzechTrade Budapest.

Hungarian companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves to Czech institutional representatives. The event provided a platform to connect businesses with government and municipal officials, thereby promoting cooperation in smart city solutions.

Our chamber, strengthening this line, intends to continue actively supporting the entry of domestic businesses into foreign markets. To further this goal, we are organizing another delegation trip to the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, the world's largest and most prestigious exhibition, just as we did last year. Details of this business trip will be announced soon.
